Masses for weekend of Papal Visit
There will be just two Masses on Weekend of 25th/26th August., both on Sunday 26th: Cong 11.30am, Neale 8 pm
Mass in the Neale church is moved to Sunday 26th August at 8.00pm; no Saturday evening Mass on 25th August. No Mass in Cross on Sunday 26th August. Mass in Cong at 11.30am
As many people who wished to visit Knock or Dublin for the visit of Pope Francis have not been able to get tickets, the next best is to be able to watch events on TV. The main events are on Saturday evening in Croke Park, Sunday morning in Knock and the Mass in the Phoenix Park on Sunday afternoon. These times clash with the regular Mass times in the Neale and Cross.
Fr. Gilligan will attend the three days of the World meeting of families 22/23/24 August and attend Croke Park on Saturday evening and come down early on Sunday for the two Masses.
Lough Derg Pilgrimage

St. Mary’s Church of Ireland Music Sessions Music Sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings through August and September at St Mary’s Church of Ireland, Cong and will feature some of Ireland’s finest traditional singers and musicians Pauline Scanlon (Lumiere), Eoin Wynne, Nicola Joyce (The Whileaways), Fabian Joyce and Eamon Murray (Beoga) for an intimate evening of music and song. Pilgrims going to Phoenix Park for Papal Mass 26th August
Maynooth College is a transport hub and all vehicular traffic with permits for Maynooth will divert via Kilcock (exit 8) and drive through Kilcock on to Maynooth to car parks and train. This is the only route to access it.

Schedule of Events at Knock for Visit of Pope Francis
From 8.30am on the morning of Sunday August 25th 2018, there will be a ‘Gathering Event’ until the arrival of the Holy Father. Music will be provided by Knock Parish Choir with guest musicians and soloists. Upon arrival, the Holy Father will move through the assembly in the Pope Mobile arriving at the Apparition Chapel at 10am for private prayer. Afterwards His Holiness will deliver a short address and lead pilgrims in the Angelus Prayer. After the departure of the Holy Father, there will be a concelebrated open-air Mass with Fr Richard Gibbons as the main celebrant and homilist. Please note that this will be a part of the official ticketed event.

Living Well with Cancer
The National Conference for Cancer Survivorship is to be held in Galway and Cork this year. The Galway venue is the Clayton Hotel, Ballybrit on Saturday 15th September 2018
The aim of this conference is to provide information and support to those living with a cancer diagnosis and those who have finished cancer treatments. There will be numerous speakers as well as workshops on diet, exercise etc.
