25 Card League Report – March 2015

There was a packed house for the finale of the 25 Card League in The Crossroads. After ten weeks there were 3 players tied on points at the top of the league table, partners Patsy & Ann Casey and Pat Coen.

There was a great buzz amongst all the players as everyone kept a close eye on how the contenders were getting on. Up for grabs for the winner was a magnificent perpetual trophy made from 3000 year old Bog Oak, sterling silver and Connemara marble which was especially commissioned and donated by The Quiet Cailín studio. There was also 2 lambs donated by Patrick Hughes & Con Conroy.

After a further 20 games the three leaders could not be seperate on points and after a brief consultation they agreed to share the prizes, which was probably the fairest result of all.

The Crossroads would like to thanks everyone who supported the 25 Card Games over the winter months, and to anyone who helped out in any way. A special thanks also to those who sponsored the prizes.
